For the improvement of supply chain information sharing and to address supply chain risks a new rule will be amended to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) with a possible effective date of December 4, 2023. This rule will be consistent with the Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act of 2018 and the Federal Acquisition Security Council, allowing contracting officers to implement FASCSA orders in new and existing federal contracts and to share important information on potential supply chain risk.
