In April of 2017 GSA announced that it would transition ten existing federal websites into one functional site. Their philosophy is that it would reduce burdens on contractors and federal personnel in the registration and management of federal contracts. A few of the sites will include Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), Federal Funding Accountability & Transparency Act Sub-Award Reporting System (fsrs.gov), Federal Awardee Performance & Integrity Information System (FAPIIS), System For Award Management (SAM.gov). A beta website is currently being tested and could possibly be available for use as early as 2018.
The Integrated Award Environment (IAE) will be hosting a virtual industry day GSA on December 5, 2017 from 1pm to 2 pm for any vendors who may have questions about the transition. To register for the industry day click here.
