An order was signed in August of 2023 between GSA Administrator, Robin Carnahan and Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Commissioner Sonny Hashmi to reorganize FAS in order to better serve its customers and streamline agencies processes. This reorganization arrives on the heels of many changes within the agency that would improve how government interacts with industry and agencies. The new FAS structure will service customers by teams as opposed to regions offering a more comprehensive level of support.
