GSA Announces VETS 2 GWAC Awards

VETS 2 GWAC pre award notice was issued late August via federal business opportunities.Ā  The VETS 2 contract was established by GSA exclusively for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB) to fulfill IT requirements.Ā  This contract will allow GSA to achieve their small business goals of ensuring SDVOSBā€™s will receive the minimum three percent of federal acquisitions.

VETS 2 GWAC includes:

    1. Comprehensive Scope ā€“ The contract scope is designed to meet a variety of diverse agency IT requirements, including new and emerging technologies.

    2. Multiple Contract Types ā€“ VETS 2 will allow Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement, Time & Materials, and Labor Hour orders;.

    3. Enables Long-Term Planning ā€“ VETS 2 will have a five-year base period and one five-year option period;.

    4. Robust Contractor Pool ā€“ Provides access to customized IT solutions from a qualified pool of SDVOSBs; and.

    5. Socioeconomic Impact ā€“ Enables GSA to continue its support of the SDVOSB Procurement Program, while helping federal agencies achieve their socioeconomic goals and objectives.

On October 26, 2017 GSAĀ announced the awards to seventy (70) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB).Ā  GSA also announced that currently federal agencies are not able to place orders against the contract until a Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued.Ā  To view vendors that have been awarded contracts under VETS 2 GWACĀ click here.
